On this Potsdam day tour from Berlin, you'll head some 45 minutes outside the city to reach Potsdam, the old residence of kings during the Prussian Empire. The route there is a scenic one, passing through Grundwald City Forest and past city villas where the rich used to live. We'll be sure to include a few short stops so you can take in the views along the way

From the New Palace to Cecilienhof Country House (the most important historical site of Potsdam) to Sansoucci's Art Gallery, Potsdam is full of testimonies of Prussia's Splendor and Glory. As you take in the historic setting, your guide — a bonafide expert in Prussian history and heritage — will entertain you with anecdotes (and a bit of gossip) about Germany's most famous king, Frederick the Great. While Old Fitz may have been an impressive king, he was also known for a few funny quirks, like his intense love for his greyhounds (maybe more than anything else!).
